Objectives
The Objectives of the WCC are :
To continue psychological support services after having tackled
the immediate crisis problem, especially for those who suffer from
emotional and psychological abuse.
To do and encourage research regarding social problems relating
to women and children.
To promote awareness among the general public on matters
concerning the abuse of women and children in the society.
To promote societal and legal changes for the protection and the
well being of our women and children in our society.
To help, advice and when nessesary, provide temporary shelter for
women and children in a crisis.
To achieve these objectives, the WCC has a General Committee to
administer and manage its activities. The centre is run by staff and
volunteers who attend to telephone enquiries and other
administrative task.
The WCC is open during office hours -
9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Mon-Sat)
Counsellors are available by appointment
Legal advisors are only available by
appointment after 5:30 pm.
